Our Programs
Fun & Creativity
Art
Each teacher provides children with the opportunity to engage in free art daily in the classroom art center. Children also participate in art creations that coincide with the weekly themes we are learning in our advanced curriculum.
Music & Movement
Music and Movement is held several times a day to give the children BRAIN BREAKS and to help them get their wiggles out. Our advanced curriculum includes music that matches the weekly themes we are exploring in the classrooms. Teachers sing and dance with the children to guide them in the curriculum music and movement.
Soccer Lessons
Children ages 2 and up are invited to participate in soccer lessons with Upfield Soccer every Monday at 10:30 a.m. on the playground. "Ms. Jennifer, Coach is supposed to be here today. Can you call to make sure Coach is coming today?!!"
Language & Literacy
Beginning at 18 months old, there is an advanced curriculum in each class that provides unique, play-based, fun activities for the teachers to incorporate into weekly learning themes. Three-year-old and Pre-K activities focus on phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. In Pre-K, it is developmentally appropriate to expect a child to acquire emergent reading skills that help prepare them to be ready readers in Kindergarten and elementary school.
Mathematics, Social Studies, and STEAM
Fun, daily math activities are incorporated into each classroom's advanced curriculum weekly themes. Three-year-olds and Pre-K investigate and explore numbers and operations, geometry, patterns, measurement, data analysis, and social studies. Weekly STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) projects are guided by the teacher to facilitate development of skills in the areas of processing, collecting data, exploring the nature of different materials, problem solving, and designing tools to help solve problems.
Outside Play
Each age group has at least 75 minutes outside during their own designated recess times. The playground is 1300 square feet and is built with a padded turf that does not grow mold or mildew. Teachers invite the children to engage in structured play activities that coincide with our curriculum's weekly themes. However, children are also welcome to engage in their own forms of free play outside during recess time.
